Exploration Expertise
We are exploration geologists optimising traditional and new exploration methods to more efficiently explore. Our objective is to assist transforming tenements into orebodies through better work practices and data.

Whilst portable XRF analysers are incredibly valuable field tools, they have limitations as they can't analyse for light elements such as lithium. Our SciAps LIBS analyser is made for light elements. As such, the XRF and LIBS are a formidable duo that provide real-time field data for hard rock analysis and geochemical sampling, across multiple commodities.

We are about delivering in-field analytics to assist exploration teams make informed decisions then and there, rather than wait 1-2 months for conventional laboratory assay turnaround. Our value proposition is to provide near-instantaneous data to optimise your exploration programme, delivering real cost savings, in real-time.
  • Testing calibration pressed pellets
  • Slide mounted samples for LIBS assay
  • Soil Sampling

The Team

We collectively have a wealth of hands-on exploration experience across commodities... literally across the alphabet, from apatite to zinc. We have worked across the globe in all terrains and jurisdictions, exploring, discovering, delivering ore resources, and development studies.

Mark Saxon, BSc. (Hons) (Geology)
Mr Mark Saxon brings thirty years of experience in the resources industry, representing junior and senior companies in Australia, Canada and Europe. An Honours BSc graduate in Geology from the University of Melbourne, he received a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment in 2007. He is a fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists. Mr Saxon’s experience covers most facets of the exploration and mining business in a wide range of geological environments, with a particular focus on discovery, processing, marketing and the political context of critical raw materials. He is currently an executive director of Medallion Resources Ltd (TSX.v), CEO and President of T2 Metals Corp (TSX.v), and a director of Energy Transition Minerals (ASX).

Michael Hudson BSc (Hons) (Geology)

Michael is a mineral explorationist, specializing in critical metals, with global experience. He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1990 with a First Class B.Sc. (Hons) in Geology. He is passionate about the science of mineral discovery and has been an integral part of teams behind many significant Au, Pb-Zn, Cu, Co, Sb and REE discoveries over the last 30 years in Australia, Finland, Sweden, Pakistan and Peru. Michael is currently managing Southern Cross Gold's Sunday Creek gold/antimony discovery in Victoria.

Steve Tambanis BSc. (Geology), BEc. (Economics)

Steve is an early-stage exploration specialist with over 30 years worldwide in gold, base metals, battery minerals and industrial minerals. He has designed, implemented and managed exploration programmes in a range of jurisdictions, focussing on implementing cost effective methods for each terrain and commodity. A WMC alumni, Steve has since listed and operated numerous junior explorers on ASX. In 2015-2017, he led a small, exceptional team that discovered and drilled out the World Class Mahenge graphite orebody in Tanzania, now being developed. Steve graduated from The Australian National University with degrees in Economics and Science (Geology) and is a Fellow of the AusIMM.
